GLOUCESTER and SANIBEL ISLAND, FL — “The Winnie Way” was the name Dick Bell gave to the cabin, his family’s former summer camp on Gloucester’s Little River, to which he would bring his new bride, Winnie Fay Lumpkin Bell, back in May, 1942. And that phrase, “the Winnie way,” pretty much captures what he loved so about her during their 72 years of marriage together that began there that day. Mrs. Winnie Fay (Lumpkin) Bell, passed away June 10, 2014 in her home of Gloucester, surrounded by her loving family.
