West Palm Beach, FL — Jean (Fine) Rubenstein, age 79, of West Palm Beach, FL, died on Wednesday, after a lengthy illness, in the Den-Mar Nursing Home in Rockport. Born in Boston, she graduated from Roxbury Memorial High School. She had resided in Florida for the past 16 years and formerly lived in Beverly for 40 years. For many years she worked as a secretary at the Peabody Auto Auction in Peabody and the National Conveyer Co. in Beverly. She was a past president of ORT in Florida and former member of Temple B’nai Abraham in Beverly. She enjoyed painting in oils and watercolors as an amateur painter, playing Mah Jong and spending time with her stock trading group. Beloved wife of the late Hyman Rubenstein; devoted mother of Eric and his wife Cheryl Rubenstein of North Dighton, Lee and his wife Allison Rubenstein of Rockport; loving sister of the late Melvin Fine and her late twin sister Ruth Fast; cherished grandmother of Morgan, Brody, Lacey, and William Rubenstein and dear aunt of Cheri Discolo of Revere and David Fine of So. Hampton.
