Gloucester, MA — John H. “Jack” Doyle Sr., 75, of Gloucester, husband of the late Marjorie F. (Roberts) Doyle, passed away on Tuesday morning, April 9, 2013, in the Kindred Nursing & Rehabilitation-Den Mar in Rockport. John was born in Gloucester, on April 9, 1938, the son of the late Wilfred Doyle Sr. and Mary (Gracie) Doyle. Jack was a quiet man, who enjoyed morning coffee with the boys, from TJ’s Whistlestop, to Georges, to McDonalds and Dunkin Donuts. An avid sports fan, he watched all his favorites play, but was a Red Sox baseball fan first. Years ago, he played in an Ipswich Bowling League for 20 to 30 years. He was a member of the Gloucester Elks Lodge #892, for more than 32 years. He is survived by his daughters, Jacqueline Da Silva and her husband, Jose, of Gloucester, Mass., Roberta Bronecki, of Wisconsin, son, John H. Doyle Jr. and his wife, Yesenia, of San Antonio, Texas; six grandchildren, Jennifer Stooksbury, of Brockton, Mass., Shayla and Teagan Doyle, of Texas, Aaliyah Doyle, of Louisiana, Martin and Crystal Pierce, of Wisconsin; brothers, Wilfred Doyle, of West Terre Haute, Ind., Robert Doyle, of Port Charlotte, Fla., Thomas Boudreau, of Ventura, Calif.; a sister, Patricia Wall, of Rockport, Mass., and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Sheila Doyle. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Den Mar, who went above and beyond in their care and a special thanks to Debbie Collins for her attention and care to Jack. The family would also like to say thanks to his extended family at the Pilot House, where Jack worked for several years.
