Robert M. “Bob” Dupray 4/19/2013 Gloucester, MA

GLOUCESTER: Robert M. “Bob” Dupray, 69, died unexpectedly on Friday, April 19, 2013 in the Addison Gilbert Hospital after suffering an ill turn while taking a walk. He was the husband of Sandra E. (Shaw) Dupray. Born in Samson, New York on December 8, 1943, he was the son of the late E. Martin and Lucienne A. (LeTourneau) Dupray. He had resided in Beverly and Salem for many years before moving to Gloucester in 1987. Bob worked for many years in the insurance industry. As an entrepreneur, he was also involved in many other business ventures over the years. An avid golfer, he enjoyed playing poker with his friends and loved to travel with Sandy, the love of his life. He was a voracious reader and lifelong learner. He also loved to spend time with his grandson, Devon. In addition to his wife of thirty-two years, he is survived by two sons, William M. Dupray and Justin T. Dupray and his wife, Kerstin of Stratford, CT; three grandchildren, John, Hannah and Devon Dupray; five sisters, Joan Pelletier and her husband, Tom, Rosemary Dupray, Susan Walker and her husband, Steve, Cynthia Moulton and her husband, Peter and Barbara Cook and her husband, Jim; a brother, Richard Dupray and his wife, Ruth and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at a time and place to be announced. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to The Jimmy Fund, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Fl., Brookline, MA 02445-7295.
