Mrs. Jennifer Anne (Skarr) Oakes, 49, of Boxford, died peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, March 13, 2017 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. Born in Arlington Heights, Illinois, she was the daughter of Joanne Stendebach, of Woodruff, Wis., and Clifford Skarr, of St. Augustine, Fla. Jennifer was a graduate of Schaumburg High School and a 1989 graduate of Marquette University. Jennifer began her professional career with KPMG, LLP in Milwaukee, Wis., before eventually relocating to Montvale, New Jersey. Jennifer was employed by KPMG up until the time of her passing. Jenn was a beautiful, loving person who possessed a sharp wit, an infectious smile and a love for the Green Bay Packers. She was deeply devoted to her family, especially her four daughters, who were the center of her world. She enjoyed her time watching her girls cheer, compete in gymnastics and play hockey. She was as equally committed to volunteering to help various groups and organizations, especially helping to coach her favorite Masconomet youth football cheerleading team. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Jennifer is survived by her loving husband of 19 years, Timothy Oakes of Boxford; her daughters, Emily, Madison, Delaney and Gabrielle Oakes; her mother, Joanne Stendebach and her husband, Douglas, her father, Clifford Skarr and his wife, Catherine; her favorite dog, Moxie; her brothers, Dr. Brett Skarr and his wife, Deborah of Waukesha, Wisconsin and Todd Skarr of Rockford, Ill., and several nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. Her funeral Mass will be held in St. Ann’s Church – Holy Family Parish, 60 Prospect St., Gloucester, Monday, March 20th at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Please meet directly at St. Ann’s Church. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Gloucester. Visiting hours in the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (rte 62) Danvers, Sunday, March 19th from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Jennifer’s memory to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, C/O Care Dimension, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
